Dear Friends,
It is with care that I inform you that our brother in Christ, Jim Myers died early this morning after a long illness. Jim is Kevin Myers father and was responsible for several woodworking projects around Saint John's. While we pray for Kevin, Chris and Jenna as they mourn, we can celebrate with them that Jim has been reunited with his beloved grandson Matt. I will keep you posted on funeral arrangements.
There have been two other deaths within our church family: Frances Dewey, Gregg Dewey's mother died late last week. And newly confirmed member Santi Coulon lost her dear Aunt Idna early this morning. Let us pray for the Dewey family and the Duncon as well.
As Bishop Diane reminded us just yesterday morning, we rest in the sure and certain knowledge that our good and gracious Lord has gone before us to prepare a room for us, so that where he is we might be also. It is a place "where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing , but life everlasting."

Almighty God, our Creator in heaven, before whom live all who die in the Lord: Receive Jim, Frances and Idna into the courts of your heavenly dwelling place. Let their hearts and souls now ring out in you to you, O Lord, the living God, and the God of those who live. Deal graciously, we ask, with Kevin, Kristy, Chris, Jenna, and with Greg and Cindy and their family and with Santi and her family, giving them strength and courage to face the days ahead. Comfort, guide and provide for them. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen. |
