| MAUNDY THURSDAY |
|
April 21 7:00 p.m.
Maundy . . . Mandate . . . the night before Jesus died . . . Maundy Thursday is a powerful experience of that fate-filled night when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, gave the Second Great Commandment to love as I have loved you, offered the First Eucharist and called his closest disciples to remain awake, to watch and to pray as he did in the Garden of Gethsedeme.
Our service will include foot-washing, the Stripping of the Altar and the Holy Watch. |
| GOOD FRIDAY |
Three Hour Service 12:00 noon-3:00 p.m. A service of prayer, story and song, we will follow the Way of the Cross as Jesus moves from his trail to Mount Calvary carrying his cross, our cross, our burdens, our sins. The service will concluded with the distribution of Reserved Sacrament. The Good Friday Offering will be sent to the Holy Land.
Ecumenical Service 7:00 p.m. We join our brothers and sisters from the Methodist, Presbyterian and Brethen Churches at La Verne Heights Prysbeterian Church 1040 Baseline Road for an Ecumenical Good Friday Service.
