Dear Friends,
It is with great care that I inform you that our brother in Christ Bruce Hilliam died early this morning while on vacation in Chile. I have left messages for Wai Wah, assuring her of our love and prayers. I know you join me in giving thanks for having had Bruce in our lives and in our community and in calling on God to provide Wai Wah with the strength and courage she needs to face the days ahead. As the details are known, I will let you know when we will gather for a Celebration of Bruce's life and witness.
As I write this I am listening to Louis Armstrong sing to me
"When the Saints go marching in,
when the saints go marching in,
Oh Lord, I want to be in the number,
When the Saints go marching in."
I have no doubt that Bruce is in fact marching into God's Kingdom and taking his place amonst the angels.

Almight God, our Creator in heaven, before whom live all who die in the Lord: Receive our brother Bruce into the courts of your heavenly dwelling place. Let his heart and soul now ring out in you to you, O Lord, the living God, and the God of those who live. Deal graciously, we ask, with Bruce's wife Wai Wah, giving her strength and courage to face the days ahead. Comfort her, guide her and provide for her. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
