The study of "Organic" chemistry basically is the study of the carbon molecule and its effect on different atoms and molecules. The important thing is that organic carbon is a component of ALL living tissue (including ours) and is essential to the chemical processes of the body, and it participates in nearly all of our metabolic activities.
