Dear Friends,

Welcome to summer 2008 and another issue of Dr. Mike's Health Newsletter. The tall grass, blossomed flowers and full trees are an appropriate segue into this month's topic - Fulvic Acid. Just what is this thing called fulvic acid that people ask about quite frequently? Let's take a look!

Hand and soil
Fulvic Acid has gained a lot of attention since its inclusion in various nutritional products, but its benefits are not clearly understood by many.

The Britannica Encyclopedia defines the chemical compound, Fulvic Acid, as one of two classes of natural acidic organic polymer that can be extracted from humus found in the soil, sediment, or aquatic environments. It is believed to originate as a product of microbial metabolism.

Before our soil was over-farmed, depleted and, at the same time, saturated with pollutants, it had an exceptional abundance of minerals, trace elements and rich humus soil teeming with beneficial microbes. Plants were numerous, lush and loaded with minerals and would eventually breakdown from the natural process of decay. From this natural result of the their breakdown, humic substance or fulvic acid was formed, a part of the recyling process for new vegetation regrowth and essential for maximum human health. Unfortunately, the humus deposits rich with fulvic acid have been missing from our diets for generations. They are quite rare in this generation and can only be found in very limited areas of the world.
Vegetation
Fulvic Acid is created in extremely small amounts by millions of beneficial microbes working on decaying plant matter. Because of this low molecular weight, fulvic acid has the ability to easily dissolve and bond minerals and nutritional elements into its molecular structure.

Nutrients that have been chelated (bonded) by fulvic acid are in the perfect and natural form to interact with and be absorbed by living cells. Fulvic Acid is so powerful that  one single fulvic acid molecule is capable of carrying 60 or more minerals and trace elements into the cells.

Therefore, re-mineralization of our bodies without the fulvic acid (that should be in the plants we eat), has little benefit.  People are sick with degenerative and deficiency related diseases now more than ever.  Fulvic acid supplementation is a good start toward reversing  this situation.

One of the strongest advantages of fulvic acid minerals is that absorption  greatly exceeds traditional tablet supplements.  As with any nutrient or supplement, the only way your body can benefit, is if it is absorbed.  Fulvic acid enhances this process.

3 bottles Since fulvic acid allows such an increase in nutrient absorption, it has the ability to make a profound impact on a wide variety of health issues and diseases that have arisen in the last several decades. Here are just a few of the benefits of fulvic acid:
  • Increased energy
  • Powerful antioxidant and free radical scavenger
  • Chelates heavy metals and body toxins, allowing them to be transported out of the body
  • Transports nutrients into the cells
  • Powerful natural electrolyte
  • Restores electrochemical balance
  • Increases activity of many enzyme systems
  • Rebuild the immune system
  • Increases bioavailability of nutrients and minerals
As you can see, the inclusion of fulvic acid in supplements, particularly mineral formulas, has a powerful effect on nutrient absorption and thus overall health.

In addition to benefits for health, there is a huge potential agriculturally to replenish and thus "heal" our soils which have been so overused and depleted of minerals. Additionally, fulvic acid has the capacity to neutralize radioactive and toxic wastes!

This is the reason why Fulvic Acid is an integral part of the Drucker Labs line of organic carbon-bonded supplements.

Thank you once again for reading. Have a wonderful healthy summer.

Until next month, I remain yours in good health,

Dr. Mike
