During a May 13 celebration in the boutique, founding
co-chairs
Marcia Simon and
Joan Zimmerman were honored for their
extraordinary work with the board of community advisors.
New co-chairs
Debby Alphin and
Kelly Chopus were introduced.
In
her remarks, Marcia said: "Dress for Success is an
opportunity for you to

make a personal commitment to realize life-long
goals. You can do it ... with persistence, perseverance and, of
course,
patience... and if you the challenge, our organization will partner with
you all the way."
Joan, who was traveling, shared these
thoughts in a note: "As a young person,
growing up during World War II in England, in a family of 9 children; my
amazing parents drummed into us: 'You are as good as, but no better
than, anyone else you meet. Whether they are rich or poor, famous or
unknown - they are still people, just like you. Share your time and
talents with them.' Life works on the law of the boomerang -
whatever you
throw out, good or bad, it will come back to you."
