Below is the schedule for the children's choir performances. All are for the 11:00 a.m. service unless otherwise noted.
Children's choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m following Wonderful Wednesday dinners.
October 5 - Bethlehem Choir

December 10 - All Children's Choirs participate in Wonderful Wednesday Musical

Fall is here bringing cooler weather! This month, celebrate the changing seasons at DUMC's annual BBQ & Fall Festival. And, don't miss the kick-off of Children's Church. We hope to see you this fall! |

 Support Habitat for Humanity, UMW Missions & Children's and Youth Programs
Don't miss this annual family friendly weekend at Dilworth! Join us for barbecue on Friday, October 10th from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Enjoy Bluegrass music during dinner from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Then come back on Saturday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for the Fall Festival. This year's event features a petting zoo, bounce house, inflatable slide, face painting, games and crafts, with hamburgers, hot dogs and baked goods available for lunch.

| Children's Church Begins in October |

 Starts October 12th, 2008
Dilworth UMC is very excited to introduce Children's Church for 5 year olds -2nd graders. Children's Church will be the 2nd and 4th sunday of each month during the 11:00 service following the "Moments With Children."
The children will participate in an age-appropriate worship service including learning the Doxology and the Lord's Prayer, reading the Bible and participating in learning centers. |

Join Our Newest Choir
In addition to the children's choirs that meet each Wednesday evening, we are pleased to announce a new musical program - the CHIME CHOIR.
Practice begins on Sunday, October 12th at 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.
The Chime Choir is open to all childrenin 1st - 5th grades who are interested in learning to play the chimes.

| Operation Christmas Child |

 It Is Easy To Pack An Operation Christmas Child Shoe box! Each year, our children's choirs participate in Operation Christmas Child. Here are the guidelines for this year. We invite all children of the church to participate.
- Find a shoe box or plastic shoe box sized box with detached lid.
- Fill with hygiene products, school supplies and small toys.
- Enclose a check for $7.00 payable to Samaritan's Purse.
- Turn in the box at choir practice or to any member of the children's choirs by November 17th.

| Children's Sunday School |

This fall, DUMC introduced a rotational children's Sunday School program. The children (ages TK - 5th grade) spend four weeks on each lesson. Each week, they visit a different station including Creative Arts, Hospitality/Science and Crafts/Music.
