It's "Back-to-School" time! September is a perfect opportunity to get involved with the children's programs at Dilworth United Methodist Church! We hope to see you on Wednesday nights for dinner and choir, or at one of our new rotational Sunday Schools! |

 Join us September 7th!
Promotion Sunday Kick-Off is scheduled for Sunday, September 7th at 10:00 a.m. in Langford Hall. Parents and families are welcome to join us at 10:00 for doughnuts, coffee and juice.
Afterwards, for the remainder of the Sunday School period, children in TK - 5th grade will get to know their teachers and each other by making classroom banners and cards for shut-ins. Two volunteers are still needed to teach this Fall. Please contact Rhonda at rhonda.hermann@dilworthumc.org. |

Conference September 20th and 21st at DUMC
Faith Stepping Stones is a family ministry system that puts parents into the role of primary faith mentors for their own children every night in every home.
This process of faith-based parenting allows families to develop nightly faith practices that includes blessing, prayer, scripture reading, sharing of Highs & Lows, faith dialogue and a nightly "I'm sorry."

Join One Of Our Children's Choirs This Fall 
Please join us for choir at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday following "Wonderful Wednesday" dinners. Everyone is welcome!!!
- Angel Choir - 3 and 4 year olds
- Bethlehem Choir - K and 1st grade
- Carolers Choir - 2nd - 5th grade
- INTRODUCING - Chime Choir - 1st - 5th grade. Practice starts October 12th from 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.

 Can you paint, draw or color between the lines?
Then the DUMC Children's Programs needs you! Our own Katrina Trotter is painting murals in the children's building. She has drawn the murals, but needs help painting "in-between the lines." To schedule a time to help, please contact Katrina at htrotter@carolina.rr.com.
Also, Rhonda needs another creative talent to help create a floating bulletin board to advertise the numerous children's programs at upcoming church events. If you can help, please contact Rhonda at rhonda.hermann@dilworthumc.org. | |

Nursery Information
Sessions
All nursery volunteers are invited to a mandatory informational meeting to review the new policies, procedures and curriculum. Please join us on Sunday, September 28th or Sunday, October 5th at 12:15 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.

| Introducing Children's Church |

 Starts October 12th, 2008
Dilworth UMC is very excited to introduce Children's Church for 5 year olds -2nd graders. Children's Church will be the 2nd and 4th sunday of each month during the 11:00 service following the "Moments With Children."
The children will participate in an age-appropriate worship service including learning the Doxology and the Lord's Prayer, reading the Bible and participating in learning centers. | |
