Schools: Eliminating Provider Type 42

Arkansas Medicaid will be eliminating public school use of Provider type 42 for therapy services.
If you are a public school and you bill under an AR Medicaid provider number ending in "42", you will not be allowed to use that number starting Nov. 1, 2010.
All public schools will have to use a provider number ending in "43"-which designates them as a School. If you are a public school and do not have a provider number ending in "43", you need to get one in order to bill for school based therapy services. |

Goals and Objectives for Arkansas Medicaid Children receiving therapy services must be written measureable, functional and individualized.
They should not be verbatim from a testing tool. This was a topic of presentation at the Arkansas Medicaid Therapy Open meeting on April 27.
