Greetings!

Spring has sprung and the Little Rock Zoo is busy! The Zoo is offering several volunteer opportunities and we need you to help! Volunteers are needed in horticulture, office administration, special events and other services. Volunteering at the Zoo is a great way to give back and also have a great time at one of Arkansas's favorite destinations! Read below for more information!

Sincerely,

Susan Altrui
Office Volunteers
The Little Rock Zoo Administration Office needs volunteers to help answer phones, take group reservations, and help with basic office work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. These volunteers will interact with the public and be trained to answer questions about the Zoo and Zoo programs. Scheduling is flexible but dependability is important!

Horticulture Volunteers
Horticulture volunteers assist Zoo staff with gardening and general upkeep and maintenance of Zoo grounds. Volunteers work during the week and on weekends. Horticulture volunteers must be able to do light lifting and other activities that involve bodily movement.

Special Event Volunteers
The Little Rock Zoo hosts several special events throughout the year including Boo at the Zoo, Wild Wines of the World & More, and other animal events. Volunteers are needed for the "Zoo Crew" to help carry-out special events.  Volunteer committees help organize events and execute events the day-of. A limited number of opportunities exist for teen volunteers, as well.
