 LearningSuccess Tip: Verbal Learners Need to Talk!
Verbal learners need to talk it out - chat, converse, discuss,
talk aloud to themselves, read directions out loud, record their own
voice...hearing their own voice is what helps them process the
information.Often kids get in trouble for talking or reading out
loud, yet that is what they need to do. You might know a student who is
constantly going to a teacher or parent saying, "I don't get this" - referring to written instructions on a worksheet or in a book. The adult says, "What
do you mean you don't get it, read it." So the student reads it out loud and says, "Oh, I get
it"
The teacher or parent thinks the student is being disruptive or just wants
attention, and neither the student nor the adult realizes that the comprehension came from reading out loud!

The LearningSuccess Institute is registered as a private school in California. We offer a full elementary through high school program, and students receive a high school diploma. What is so great about our program? Lot of things!
