January 2012 Newsletter

Dear ,

On December 10th, 2011 we unveiled the working document we are calling The Twin Cities African American Agenda. 300 members from the forum gathered to reconnect and find new ways to strengthen the African American community. As Karen Kelley-Ariwoola remarked that day, "The Twin Cities African American Agenda is our intentional endeavor to claim our road." To view Karen Kelley-Ariwoola's full remarks about AALF Forum VI click here.

The agenda is not a list of problems or "issues", it is a list of solutions that will reawaken our communities to open new pathways and new destination for all African Americans.

Here are some of the many ways to be involved in this exciting process:

  • Join a work group or action team working together to address specific areas of need
  • Join us in linking your communities or organizations efforts to the agenda
  • Align with us to show a united community which is engaged, mobilized, committed and able to advocate for solutions that bring about health, wealth and well-being to all of our communities
