Because you are registered for the upcoming 2009 AWRA Annual Water Resources Conference in Seattle, I wanted to make you aware of this opportunity to enter your best photographs in the WA-AWRA Photo Contest.

SEND IN YOUR BEST PHOTOGRAPHS
 
This year, the Washington State Section of AWRA's photo contest will be conducted in conjunction with the 2009 AWRA Annual Water Resources Conference being held in Seattle on November 9 - 12, 2009:
 
Submit your best photos in the following categories:
 
The American West and Water
 Humans and Water (includes infrastructure)
 Wildlife and Water
 
Recognition will be given for the top three overall winners and the best in each category:
 
GRAND PRIZE 
Photo displayed on the cover of a future issue of JAWRA

First prize in each category - $100
 
The contest organizers will select the five best photos in each category to be displayed at the conference.  Conference participants will then choose the top three photos for each of the three entry categories. Submissions will be accepted from AWRA National and WA-AWRA members.  (Uncertain about your membership status?  Ask me. ) Only electronic submissions will be accepted. JPEGS of higher resolution are preferred.

Put "WA-AWRA Photo Contest" in Subject line & include:
          • the category for each photo
          • your contact information
Please Note:
 Entrants retain ownership and all other rights to future use of the photographs they enter except for the following:
  • Your entry to the contest constitutes your agreement to allow your entered photographs-and your name, occupation, city, state and country of residence-to be displayed at the AWRA Annual Water Resources Conference in Seattle and/or published as winners or finalists in Washington State Section of AWRA (WA-AWRA) and the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) publications and websites and used for promotions of the WA-AWRA and AWRA.

By entering, participants warrant that his or her entry materials are original, do not infringe on any third party's rights.
