On Wednesday April 11th, we joined together in Susan and Jules Spehar's beautiful pre-war residence in the West Village surrounded by fine New York art and enjoyed wine from Harmony Vineyards. It was a truly wonderful evening.
Together we raised over $6,000, surpassing our goal by $1,000. In one night, we raised enough to fund almost an entire month of programs and services in Kenya.
You can view photos of the event in this album.
Thank you to all who joined, Harmony Vineyards, each of the artists, and to everyone who assisted with the event. From the event:
Interacting, connecting, reacting; our bodies made up of multiple symbiotic relationships we go along with without understanding. Take advantage of that which you do understand, allow for a dialogue between yourself and the artwork, acknowledging that both you as the viewer and the art as it stands are here for the same reason: to contribute to something greater. Step outside of yourself as the artist and the audience to allow for each piece to contribute directly to a positive impact on something more significant than the individual.
For one night we united the creativity and passion that brings us together behind artwork and fine wine to create the perfect symbiosis for a charitable cause. This is Art & Harmony.
