Greetings!

Does your older toddler (14 - 20 months) know a few signs? Baby Signs® has a class just for them. It focuses on education topics for parents that deal with the older toddler (feelings, safety, outside, etc.) and is a fun way for them to interact with other toddlers their age. Parents learn how to expand their child's sign vocabulary and how interesting it can be as they transition to speech. See below for the class that starts next week (More Sign, Say & Play Class).

With Signing, Babies Pick the Topic!
Dr. Linda Acredolo (co-founder of Baby Signs with Dr. Susan Goodwyn) recently blogged about infant initiated joint attention which means that it's the infant who calls the parent's attention to something rather than the reverse. See how this happens so much more often with a signing baby and how that leads to more opportunities to expand their vocabulary.
