No matter how inundated our children's world is with video games and movies, books and good reading skills play a critical role in the successful development of any child. (Exerpt from Baby Minds by Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn).

One more way to help strengthen the infant/parent bond that's so important to emotional development is reading to your baby. Babies as young as 12 months can contribute to the story with signs they know that match pictures they see in the books. Parents often talk about how much more interested in books their Baby Signers are than their older children were at the same ages. It's never too early to sign or read to your baby and both lead to early literacy.

This class is focused on the older         

toddler/child (2-5 yrs.) who is adjusting to a new baby (expected to 6 mths). Children will play games, sing songs, learn a few signs, read a story and make a craft. Parents will go home with great ideas and tips to help them promote positive sibling relations when they return home. Cost for one-time class - $15.00
