Fresh from the Garden Baking!
Greetings!
Summer is winding down, most of your kids are back to school, and the garden is nearing completion! Although September 22 is officially the first day of Fall, now is the time to start thinking about your harvest. This month's newsletter is dedicated to great recipes using your summer harvest. Harvest tip: A morning harvest is best before the condensation has evaporated, and plants have warmed in the afternoon sun. Other fruiting vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers and zucchini are less sensitive to wilting, so they can be picked later in the day. Nonetheless, get them out of the sun and into the refrigerator quickly, particularly if the weather is warm.
Enjoy the resources we have to offer in this newsletter,
