9/17 The Community Fun Fest at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends of Mabry Park, Inc. will be there to help you learn more about the park and how you can become involved in helping to make it happen.
9/19 All are welcomed to a Community Meeting at Wesley Chapel UMC where Friends of Mabry Park, Inc. will be on-hand to discuss and answer questions about the park.
So many entities came together to make it happen. We have two private companies, the Cobb County government, volunteers from two civic organizations and a private citizen all coming together for a plant rescue of azaleas that will be held for later planting in Mabry Park.
Brooks Chadwick, a land developer (private corporation) indicated willingness to have a native plant rescue on property slated for a new subdivision across the street from Mabry Park.
A Friend of Mabry Park volunteer agreed to gather plants for Mabry Park. Other Georgia Native Plant Society volunteers also donated their plants to Mabry Park.
