Does craft beer, craft making, and live music sound like an irresistible combination? We think so, and you can have both at DC's premier craft happy hour, Handi-hour, Thursday, May 10 from 5:30 - 8pm at the museum's Renwick Gallery. To whet your appetite for all things craft, we've put together some videos of our public programs coordinator Katie demonstrating the two featured crafts for May 10. Take a look and start to scheme all the wonderful things you could do with a roll of fuschia duct tape, or with that faded t-shirt from your family vacation to Lake Winnipesaukee in '87. Who knows? Maybe that t-shirt will help break the ice with the cute crafter across the table!

Duct Tape Wallets
Need a colorful catchall to go with that spunky sense of style? We all could use this handy and hip wallet, whether it lives in our Kate Spade tote or our European Man Bag.
Materials: assorted colors of duct tape, scissors, and a ruler (all provided by the museum at Handi-hour)
T-Shirt Necklaces
We can't take all of the credit for this beauty--Martha fashioned one of these funky wearables on her show with Queen Latifah. We also found it on Pinterest! If celebrity style isn't your cup of tea, at least you'll have a Mothers' Day present for Mom.
Materials: an old t-shirt, scissors, and a ruler (BYO t-shirt preferred; shirts provided at Handi-hour while supplies last)
