OPEN NOW through September 30!
It felt like this day would never come, but it finally did and The Art of Video Games exhibition is open to the public! I hope you can make it to see the show in person, but if not - check out our photos of the final installation on Flickr.

One of the best parts of the exhibition in my opinion is the interviews with video game artists, designers, developers, musicians, writers, and scholars. The exhibition videos are now posted online for you to enjoy, in addition to some exclusive web-only content that we simply could not squeeze into the exhibition. You may recognize some of the music from the videos - we were lucky enough to work with the bands 8 Bit Weapon and ComputeHer to use some of their music in the exhibition, and they even composed a piece especially for us, The Art of Video Games Anthem. Both bands will be performing this weekend as part of GameFest - check out the online schedule (PDF) for details.
-- Georgina Exhibition Coordinator P.S. Don't forget that we are webcasting many of the programs during GameFest, so even if you cannot make it to D.C. you can still join in some of the fun! See our website for more info. |
