It's coming. You either dig it or dread it. Valentine's Day. If you're single it probably makes you bitter. If you're attached it likely makes you anxious. How can anyone possibly plan anything that lives up to the weighty expectations this annual ritual of chocolates and little, fat cherubs carries? 
 
Dare I say, "we did!"? Dare I say, "we have just the solution for all the single ladies (and gents) and couples alike!"? 
 
I dare.
 
We're taking back the night February 14 with Handi-hour at the Renwick Gallery. As some of you may already know, Handi-hour combines happy hour with handmade, offering you the chance to fashion your own masterpieces in an actual craft gallery while sipping craft beer and listening to live music. Given the holiday, we're planning some extra special activities for folks who both embrace and eschew the thought of Cupid's arrow.

Groove to The Right Handed Lefties & attract the ladies

Craft snarky valentines to let them know you don't fall first

Grab a needle & pelt some felt or learn to knit

Get intimate with craft beers you don't have to call back

Win prizes on a scavenger hunt to impress your next date

 

HATERS

The Right Handed Lefties promise to play some angry chick music   

Make anti-valentines & sneer at the couple across the table

Pierce felt & yank yarn (catharsis, if ever there was)
Drown your sorrows in some brews with bite

Venture on an anti-love scavenger hunt & keep the prize to yourself

 

   

Admission: $20 (cash only, at the door) includes two drink tickets, a souvenir goblet, and much merriment. Additional drink tickets are $5 while suds last. Limit two admission purchases per person. We accept lovers, players and haters alike, but you must be 21 with a valid ID to enter.
