Smithsonian American Art Museum
Ever hear the phrase, "music to my ears?" Working in an art museum, music is not the first thing that comes to mind. Our efforts are always swarming around rotating installations, upcoming exhibitions, new acquisitions, educational outreach, or any number of other tasks. In fact, music would be an afterthought altogether if our devoted public programs team didn't work so tirelessly to bring amazing local and regional musicians to the museum for frequent performances. We aim to please as many palates as possible, so we continue to grow our repertoire of offerings as time passes. Take a look below at this season's featured acts and hopefully you will find something that is--wait for it--music to your ears!
