Luce Foundation Center Surprise Artist Visit and Open Mic Fun!
Fridays in the Luce Center can be pretty exciting, and November 18 was no different. Artist Nicholas Herrera, who was in town with friends, came up the mezzanine to see his piece, Protect and Serve.
We showed Nicholas his work on the in-gallery computer kiosks and he took a trip down memory lane with his 2005 interview.
November 18 was also the first Open Mic Night for our Luce Unplugged series. Visitors enjoyed nine local musical acts, a scavenger hunt, and cash bar. Check out the photos on Flickr! It was so much fun we definitely plan to do it again in the spring, but in the meantime you can enjoy monthly performances during our regular Luce Unplugged programs.
