Smithsonian American Art Museum
We offer a variety of musical stylings to you through our monthly Steinway Series, Take 5! jazz concerts, and Luce Unplugged sessions. The 21st Century Consort--our award-winning contemporary music ensemble-in-residence--perform a range of works inspired by exhibitions at the museum each season. Sometimes we even convince the Washington National Opera Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists to stop in! If you're a music lover and want to hear about specific performances, take a moment to customize your subscription to our insider e-mail alerts.

This month, to celebrate its first birthday, Luce Unplugged will be holding an Open Mic Night. We're still accepting submissions from musicians to perform, so if you've got a song in your soul, e-mail AmericanArtLuce@si.edu. If you're more of a listener than a lark, grab some friends and join us on November 19 at 5:30pm for what should be a fun show with local flair. A cash bar will be available, and so will the 3,300 amazing works of art in the Luce Foundation Center. We hope to see you there, or at any of the upcoming performances below.
