 | Habitat ReStore | |
We have almost finished our big project of the year, "THE MOVE!!!"
Wednesdays we celebrate our Senior Customers with 10% off for our patrons over 60 with a valid ID.
April 23rd kicked off our Easter week end party with a KIQX and KRSJ live remote, featuring pizza and lemonade courtesy of Iron Horse Pizza and Four Corners Broadcasting. Hidden around the store, customers had the opportunity to hunt for plastic easter eggs containing discounts valid through the end of April. One lucky winner won a $100 shopping spree. It was quite the event watching customers hunt for eggs hiding in fridges, vanity drawers, sinks...and all sorts of little nooks and crannies. A very big thank you to our volunteers, staff and board members for putting together such an enjoyable day for our ReStore patrons!

It's springtime, which means its scrap metal recycling time of year. Our first scrap metal recycling week end of the new year was a great success, and we've just completed our second. So, mark your calendars for scrap metal recycling days are held the last week end of the month until the weather tells us no more.
As always, the ReStore is always looking for a few core volunteers, especially during our very busy summer months. If you have special skills like cashiering or furniture repair, or would just like to help out in the receiving area or prep appliances before they go out on the floor, please give us a call at (970) 382-9931. Extra hands are also needed for scrap metal recycling week ends.
Don't forget to check out the Habitat website to view the latest
ReStore specials and coupons. And, please see below for information on our upcoming Happy Mother's Day Specials!

 | VolunteerUp! |
VolunteerUp! Our web-based volunteer sign-up program offers those interested in volunteer opportunities with Habitat the chance to review an online calendar and list that includes donating their time to help organize and plan events, as well as the option to sign up for multiple events at time, or to sign up a group of friends, family or co-workers. Many volunteer opportunities exist with our organization, including volunteering at the build sites, in the ReStore, or in our administrative offices. We welcome all skill sets and offer the opportunity to learn new skills. In addition to the need for core volunteers in the ReStore who might be able to commit a few regular hours a week, our 2011 Build schedule is shaping up to include Faith Build Month in June. And, while framing continues from mid-May through the month of June and several groups have already signed up to come out and swing hammers, we will be holding our first of four Women Build Days on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Questions or Ready to sign-up to volunteer? Check out our online calendar or give us a call at (970) 382-2215 to inquire about the many ways in which you can become involved with HFHLPC.
