The 2012 Hollywood Beach Golf Resort  Club Championship Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, December 10th and Sunday December 11th.  The format for the tournament was medal play with 100% handicap.  The first day's leader was Mr. David Paller with a net score of 68.  Day two was played under less than ideal conditions with high winds and rain off and on.  After a 1 hour rain delay the participants completed the back nine in somewhat soggy conditions.  Mr. Paller continued his steady play and fired another 68 to win the Club Championship title.  Along with bragging rights, Mr. Paller won the cash pool, a new pair of Footjoy shoes, a set of logo glassware with a nice bottle of spirits and the highly coveted parking space with his name on it.  Congratulations to David again for his fine play.  Happy New Year to all our great members of GOLF HOLLYWOOD!

So many of my students lately have had a difficult time of aligning themselves to the intended target. As we all know we are playing a "target oriented" game and improper alignment can often be the cause of shots being miss hit or off line.The easiest way to align ourselves on the golf course is to pick an "intermediate" target instead of trying to set up to a spot in the distance. The target should be a point on the ground, 1-3 feet in front of the ball, that is on the same "flight" line tHotel from the 17th fairwaytowards our target. Now we can align ourselves to that spot making sure that our foot line, knees, hips, shoulders and head are square to the target line. Some of the greatest players in the world including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Bernhard Langer have all used this process to assure that they are square to the target. I am confident that it will help you also!

Moonshadows at Hollywood Beach Golf Resort Celebrated their Grand Opening

   

Moonshadows had it's Holiday Grand Opening Celebration on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.  The evening was filled with a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony, live music, delicious hors d'oeuvres and lots of fun.  Many familiar faces from the Hollywood Community attended and their was even a special appearance by the one and only.... Santa Claus!  It was truly a fabulous night and the staff of Moonshadows appreciates the support they received from their customers and the Hollywood Community.  Hotel from the 17th fairway
