Hollywood Beach Golf Resort would like to invite all ladies to join our new Women's Social Summer Golf League on Fridays.
We will be hosting a luncheon on Friday, June 3rd at 11:30am. We will be organizing specific play days and times. We encourage you to bring friends and enjoy our ladies league, which is designed for all playing levels.

Chuck Stone, Hollywood Beach's Director of Golf since 1996 has retired to focus on some recent and unexpected health challenges.
There has been an outpouring of inquiries from his many friends at the Club. Anyone wishing to pass along their thoughts may obtain his mailing address at the pro shop.
As many of us know, Chuck possesses an inner toughness and a indomitable spirit. These things coupled with the well wishes of his many friends will assist Chuck in overcoming the obstacles he faces.

Happy Birthday Dick ~ 100 Years Young!
Dick Scher along with his best friend Bruce told tales of making many bets over the years. Dick bet Bruce over 25 years ago that Rona was not the right gal for him. Furthermore, Bruce bet Dick that if he was around for "his 100th birthday he would throw the best party ever. In summation, Bruce and Rona have been happily married for over 25 years and Dick did get to the golden age of 100 years young.
Dick's daughter, Arlyn, came to Nikki's on the Green at the Hollywood Beach Golf Resort to plan a very special affair for Dick's birthday. Getting in touch with family and friends was not so easy but with Arlyn's countless hours she did succeed.
Arlyn also arranged for the out-of-towner friends and family to stay at the resort enjoying the hotel and many accommodations.
Dick's grandson, with his wife and two children gave a heartwarming talk about the love of his grandfather. He emphasized how his grandfather's advice helped him to prepare for his own future retirement.
Dick and Betty along with their guests spent the evening reminiscing, dancing and singing. A beautiful affair filled with memories. |
Why does Hollywood Beach Golf Course and Eco Golf Club stay so green during this drought?
In the mid to late 1990's, the City of Hollywood had the foresight to use reclaimed water from its wastewater treatment plant for irrigation purposes. As of today, all golf courses in the City of Hollywood are required to use reclaimed water for irrigation. I am often asked by golf club members and guests why I am able to irrigate when homeowners are under water restrictions. The answer is simply we use reclaimed water, therefore, we are not subject to water restrictions.
This reclaimed water is delivered to Hollywood Beach Golf Resort via a four inch water line which is deposited into to the holding pond on the tenth hole. Water from the holding pond is pumped out to irrigate the golf course and surrounding turf.
By using reclaimed water, the maintenance staff is able to provide pristine, green conditions, regardless of water restrictions or drought conditions.
Furthermore. due to the courses pristine conditions and wide open spaces we attract and provide homes to a wide variety of wildlife. Please be respectful of their habitat and try to minimize any negative impact on their homes.

Jeff Lee had a Hole in One at Hollywood Beach Golf Resort ( score card signed and attested) on hole # 3, Thursday April 21, 2011. This was his first Hole in One after playing for many years.
