Over the weekend I was reading the paper and was amazed by how many people were injured in car accidents.

There was one story where the hospital couldn't identify the injured person and didn't know who to contact.

It reminded me of a tip that I have been meaning to pass along. So, here's the tip. Grab your cell phone and program in the most important person to notify in case you are hurt or in an accident. But instead of putting their name with that phone number, put in the following 3 letters: "I.C.E." This stands for "In Case of Emergency".

From Our Winning Team to Yours

By Steve Boyd

 Steve Boyd

We are facing a variety of issues and challenges these days. The gridlock in Washington coupled with our budget shortfall of $1.7 trillion, and our national debt of over $14 trillion has spooked rating agencies, investors and speculators. As a result, stock markets and commodities, worldwide, are taking a beating. Gold seems to be a safe haven for the time being. Mix in very weak consumer confidence, European economic Armageddon, our wars in the Middle East, and continued acts of terrorism, and the outlook for a rapid and prolonged recovery seem doubtful.

There is no doubt that America must live within her means. Every family understands it. Money doesn't grow on trees as it evidently does in our Capitol. There is always a time of reckoning after things go haywire. It appears we have reached that point. We can no longer sit idly by and take whatever our representatives dish out. We must be part of the solution; if not, we most certainly will suffer the consequences. I would encourage each of us to take a proactive stand and let our voices be heard in Washington. Let's adopt fiscal responsibility. It's time to balance our budget, reduce our debt, and get our Nation's financial house in order.

Having said that, America is still a beacon of light and hope for most other countries. Many are bankrupt. Some are suffering from massive starvation of their people; and others struggle with injustice and oppression by their leaders. Yes, we have many challenges ahead; but all in all we are still the best of the best-where dissent is accepted as a birthright, and democracy reigns supreme. We are indeed the land of the free and brave. We do understand that freedom isn't free, however. We have an obligation to make sure those who are driving the bus do so in a responsible manner.

We at Sun Coast have been blessed with outstanding growth over the past year. We are 800 employees strong, united to serve our thousands of customers; with a modern delivery fleet of over 400 units; a sensational customer care department; a focus on providing on time every delivery, and a strong commitment to do it right the first time, or we will make it right quickly and professionally. So from our winning team to yours, let's do our part to keep America on track.

Warmest regards, Steven Boyd, Sr. Managing Director.
