With summertime and rising temperatures upon us, coupled with an increasing desire for cleaner running, more fuel efficient heavy-duty engines, there is a new set of performance demands for cooling system fluids. Higher engine operating temperatures, faster coolant flow rates, longer service life requirements, and an overall desire for reducing costs have all effected how a coolant needs to perform and protect.

Detergent -- In lubrication, either an additive or a compounded lubricant having the property of keeping insoluble matter in suspension thus preventing its deposition where it would be harmful. A detergent may also redisperse deposits already formed. |

I hope everyone enjoyed the July 4th celebration. The Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson and signed by 56 representatives of our 13 original colonies, merely formalized what George Washington and his Armies put it all on the line for. With a population of about 2.5 million Americans at that time, who could have envisioned what the United States has become over the course of the ensuing 235 years. We have learned many hard fought lessons, but none more notable than the realization that freedom is never free. Let's all give thanks for the sacrifices of so many in our rich history.

Promotion Announcement
Ryan Wilson (pictured right) has recently been promoted from Outside Sales Rep to Sales Manager. He has been with Sun Coast for 4 years. Ryan will be responsible for assisting Sun Coast's sales representatives in managing our current book of business, as well as developing and implementing new strategic initiatives to better serve existing and prospective customers. Ryan earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ryan, his wife Ashley, and new baby daughter, Parker, reside in Houston, Texas.
