From Our Winning Team To Yours
April is sort of a bitter sweet time of year for many. It starts with April Fool's Day, transitions into income tax day deadline on April 15th and typically ends with Easter. April is also a good time to assess how well the year is going. The first quarter is in the books and a comprehensive review of performance versus budget is in order. Where adjustments need to be made; April is a great month to implement changes. Someone once said that nothing is as constant as change-and they certainly hit the nail on the head. Those companies that embrace change head on often prosper more than those that keep on doing the same things they have always done and expect a different result. Many times embracing change can be used as a strategic advantage in the marketplace. Out of it often comes improved productivity, innovation and all sorts of new ideas and products. (Read More) |

Lubricant Tip:
Error Proofing Lubrication
The world's worst air disaster occurred in 1977 on the Spanish Island of Tenerife. The accident which claimed the lives of 583 people onboard two Boeing 747s was attributed to a series of unfortunate coincidences and mistakes, the most heinous being the decision by one of the pilots to initiate an unauthorized takeoff on a runway where the second plane was taxiing. As a result of this accident, new rules were established for cockpit communication between pilot and first officer, which until 1977, allowed for a dogmatic style of command where the second officer was not permitted to challenge or second-guess any pilot decision. This, along with other changes, was immediately implemented in an attempt to prevent a similar catastrophe from recurring. (Read more) |

Sun Coast's Lube Change Trailer is designed to make oil changes quick and easy, while offering a very low maintenance and reliable mechanical system.
Sun Coast Lube Change Trailer vacuum and pressure process ensures that maintenance professionals never come into contact with harmful contaminants found in used motor oil. Once used motor oil is vacuumed into the system, the sealed used oil tank eliminates the chance of dirt and foreign materials making their way into the used oil. The result: clean, used motor oil that is very desirable by recyclers.
Many segments of the Oil & Gas Industry enjoy the benefits that Sun Coast Lube Change Trailer offers their operation. Drilling contractors replace their 'lubesters' with Sun Coast Lube Change Trailer which is specifically designed for their applications. Instead of filling 5-gallon buckets from the lubester, operators can dispense directly from the Oil Vac via a 100ft hose reel reaching equipment throughout the drilling pad. The driver can evacuate used oil directly from the engines on the mud pumps, generators, etc., into the waste oil tank instead of using buckets and drain pans.
Well servicing and frac companies use the Sun Coast Lube Change Trailer to perform on-site oil changes instead of taking the equipment out of service and into the shop for maintenance. Less equipment downtime means that your equipment is working more to bring in more revenue.
Natural gas compression companies perform oil changes in a fraction of the time it would take with antiquated draining and refilling methods. The enclosed oil changing method also means no spills for the technician to clean up once the service has been completed. |

2011 Hurricane Forecast
The early forecast for 2011 Hurricane Season as predicted by Accu-Weather, a paid weather forecasting service, was released late last week. The numbers are as follows:
- 15 named storms (meaning the storm has reached Tropical Storm strength)
- 8 of those will reach Hurricane status (sustained winds in excess of 74 mph)
- 3 of those will reach Category 3 Strength (considered a major hurricane, sustained winds in excess of 111 mph to 130 mph)
The most noteworthy item was the prediction regarding the timing of the storms. Upper level wind patterns are forecasted to bring potential landfall for the Western Gulf of Mexico (Texas and Louisiana coasts) in the early part of the season, calling for potential landfalls in June and July.
avoid potental shut down and loss of business during the hurricane season.
