Choosing an RV - one couple's story
Johnstons
When her husband came to her and said, "I want to down-size" Linda Johnston got a little nervous.  Frank Johnston wanted to trade in their 40-ft. coach for something smaller so they could easily travel to national and state parks.  Linda decided to make a deal with Frank.  She told him that if he could find a coach with her list of requirements, they could size down.
See the rest of the Johnston's story and learn more about why the Via & Reyo are big hits in the industry.
What's Cooking -
Texas Caviar
1 can shoepeg corn
1 can black beans
1 can black-eyed peas
1 green pepper (diced)
1 bottle "zesty" Italian dressing
1-2 tomatoes (diced)
1 tsp. minced garlic

Drain and rinse peas, beans and corn.  Combine everything in a large bowl and chill for 4-6 hours. Serve with chips.

So good you can't get enough of this stuff!
What do YOU think?
We're always looking for good stories.  Send us an email and tell us about your favorite destinations, recipes, travel tips, or whatever else you'd like to share.
Greetings!

We are pleased to send you the first electronic issue of Traveling Times, our new eNewsletter.

Like its magazine namesake, Traveling Times was created to enhance your enjoyment of RVing, introduce you to new people and places, and increase your knowledge of our motor homes. We plan to produce Traveling Times about every three weeks or so, but like any good road trip, that plan may be subject to the occasional detour along the way.

If you have something you think might be of interest to other RVers, please send us an email. (Our lawyers suggest we tell you that all submissions become the property of Winnebago Industries, so if you don't want us to share that prized potato salad recipe, please don't send it in!)

We hope you enjoy Traveling Times and we look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months.

Image Mention the Grand Canyon and most people think of the South Rim. In fact, according to the National Park Service, that's where 90% of the park's visitors can be found on a typical day. The North Rim tends to be far less crowded (maybe because it's a four-hour drive from the South Rim.)  So for a less-congested Grand Canyon experience, go north!

To find out more, visit the National Park Service website.

Class A Diesel Sales Continue to Grow
Diesel Sales Chart
While we're proud of our reputation for building terrific gas motor homes, we're also making a name for ourselves in the Class A diesel market.  Based on a July, 2011 report from Statistical Surveys, Inc., our market share has more than doubled since 2008 - and we now sell more Class A diesels than both Monaco and Fleetwood.

Our diesel lineup includes the Winnebago Tour and Itasca Ellipse - each in three floorplans, including the new bath-and-a-half 42JD and bestselling 42QD - as well as the Winnebago Journey and Itasca Meridian, (four floorplans each, including the big-living new 36M and all-new 42E.)
