In our last article we discussed the first six astrological signs as they manifest through the energy of the moon. Remember, the time the moon spends in each sign can be from less than one to just over two days. On average the moon spends about two to two and a half days in each sign. In this article we'll take a look at the last six sun signs.
Please keep in mind the energy described below is a general, prevailing energy as the moon passes through the sign. How each of the signs and the moon's position of the sign acts in your individual chart will somewhat alter how you work with energy in that particular sign. One of the most helpful things I have found about studying astrology is that I can comfortably predict the general energy of my interactions in a day-to-day existence, thereby improving my ability to coexist and succeed in every area of my life. Moon in Libra Energy: The Moon's transit through Libra benefits anything to do with beauty. Artistic works, especially involving color, is greatly enhanced. This is a good time for forming partnerships and unions. Schedule handfastings now if all other aspects are favorable. For handparings (weddings or handfastings), or to break or dissolve any partnership or union, the Moon must be waning in Libra, with Venus in Aries or Scorpio. The waxing moon in Libra is very favorable for teamwork and joint efforts, so this is the time to seek or accept assistance or collaboration. Later in the transit, as the Moon nears Scorpio, eloquence and charm can change to overtones of sarcasm or satire.
Moon in Scorpio Energy: People tend to be suspicious in this part of the Lunar transit, and will be wary of anyone seeking information or money from them. Sensitivities are heightened intensely, especially to insult or discourtesy, and usually invoke a very malevolent reaction. This is a good time to plan or devise secret plots or schemes, but if one attempt to enact them now, the victim will put up a good fight and thwart the scheme. Be sure to check out the victim's vulnerability, strengths and weaknesses at the time of attack. If the odds are in his favor, "Let sleeping dogs lie." The middle part of the transit is the darkest, and especially so when the moon is full, or approaching fullness, so don't rock the boat. The last part of the cycle is best for dealing with anyone in positions of authority.
Moon in Sagittarius Energy: At the beginning of the Moon's transit through Sagittarius, it is a good time to cast spells for influence over persons in positions of authority. The first part of the Moon's transit through Sagittarius, when it is closest to the sign of Scorpio, it is possible to make, or break relationships with authority figures. Toward the middles part of the transit, protection spells for travel are favored. It is also and excellent time to work on Authority figures in connection with the law. Connecting on the astral to those far away is more of a possibility now, as communication and expansion of the higher mind are accentuated right now. As the Moon nears the end of the transit, it is an excellent time to begin to expand career endeavors.
Moon in Capricorn Energy: Public opinion is enhanced now, so it is a very favorable time to influence the opinion of those in your environment. Reputation is very much focused on, and spells to increase public favor, including law-enforcement figures and judges are highlighted and favored. The middle part of the transit is wonderful to work on keeping the security that you have built for yourself in career, focusing on stability and structure in your work environment. Moon in Capricorn in very devoid of feelings and emotions, while sense of duty with respect to family (including extended family in friendships and work) is heightened. The end of the transit is good for focusing on bringing more structure and organization into group associations and goals for the future.
Moon in Aquarius Energy: The prevailing influence at this time favors the new and different. It reinforces the humane and rational in people, and therefore is an ideal time for any works that are innovative and revolutionary. Be sure to project the long-term influence of your expected results before undertaking them, as you would not benefit in the long run if your achievement were another Hiroshima. This is an excellent time for working on astrology or other occult undertakings which require a scientific approach. The more exacting and scientific your spell or ritual at this time is worked out, the more impetus it will have on your consciousness, and will bring more dramatic results. The moon in Aquarius brings ideal conditions under which to engage in the practice or study of ESP development, so schedule classes of this type during this transit.
Moon in Pisces Energy: This is the time for retreat and contemplation, or just plain rest. Things get a bit fuzzy with the Moon in Pisces, home of Neptune, the planet of vagueness and deception. During the first and middle parts of the transit, the influence manifest in most as martyrdom, so the chronically weak will be seeking out the advice of the stronger and willing. This is a time to beware of psychic vampires! Things are not at all the way they seem during this time. People react to everything with a sense of befuddlement or confusion. It would seem an ideal circumstance under which to enact works aimed specifically at confusing or throwing an enemy off the track. This is an excellent time to engage in entertainment or amusements of an escapist nature, especially the fantastic.

Void-of-Course Moon: The moon is considered to be 'void-of-course when it has completed making all of the energetic connections to the sun and other planets and it really has no real energetic work left to do before entering into the next sign. Void-of-course moon can last anywhere from a couple of minutes to a whole day or more, depending on the time it takes to get into the next sign.
During void-of-course moon we can often feel out of touch from our more empathetic side and more unable to make a connection, emotional or otherwise with others. Often you will find that meetings will be delayed and communication will be lacking and frustrating. It is best not to try to be overly strict in meeting deadlines or resolving conflicts during this time.
I've found over the years that forewarned is definitely forearmed where void-of-course moon is concerned. If I can know that the moon is 'void' I can take a more laid-back approach to the connections I make during that time and end up with much less frustration than I might normally have. And, certainly, a calmer more self-assured countenance will go far toward your friends, family and co-workers knowing that you have everything under control.
One last note. I've noticed that people who are born with the moon void-of-course in their chart tend to handle its energy in everyday life much better than the rest of us!
