Please VOTE NO on SB1403!
I strongly oppose SB1403! The Arizona construction industry has been hit hard by the economic recession. This bill would give more power to large foreign and out-of-state general contractors to import workers.
SB1403 would ban the right of state agencies to encourage the use of Model Construction Labor Agreements (MCLA) which are union and non-union agreements that ensure the use of Arizona workers while providing job training! Without an MCLA we are left to simply "trust" large foreign and out-of-state general contractors to hire local workers.
In these hard economic times I urge you to protect Arizona jobs and VOTE NO on SB1403!
