Thank you to all of the guests, musicians, Mariella Guzman, Oswaldo Vergara, and Manuel (El Chato) along with champion dancers, Nestor and Celia who made our Peruvian lunch such a success. Proceeds have been sent to purchase equipment for the ADASE clinic for children with Cerebral Palsy in Sullana, Peru. Each child in our Tanzania Unit receiving a pair of shoes
My first day in our Tanzania classroom, I was so taken by the children's smiles that I saw nothing else until I turned to Teri. Her eyes were filled with tears as she leaned over to me saying "look at their shoes." They were remnants of shoes, some long outgrown with their foot slipped into the front. Others were simply shreds tied onto their feet. Your response to our last newsletter concerning this issue was generous! Please enjoy this photo above along with our thanks. We were able to send money to buy 60 pairs of shoes and hope to repeat this again at Christmas.
