Greetings! ,

It seems that this time of year we are pulled in several directions all at once. There are ball games, track meets, soccer games, etc., that keep us busy. We are getting close to that time of year that our lodge activities slow down. We still have a few things going on that we really need your help with. We have a couple of men that have come to us that want more light. We will be at the Day in the Park after the Rose Parade on June 6th with our coloring booth for kids. Brother Eric Cole has been busy making arrangements. We need your help that day handing out prizes, handing out pages to color and chatting with those that come by. Friday, June 18th we will be doing the Michigan Child Identification Program at the Kids Fest located at the American One building at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. We really need your support at this event. Last year over 300 kids attended this event. The more Brothers we have there the easier the work will be. This day is a lot of fun and a good time to socialize with your Brothers. Brother Eric Cole also worked on setting up this event for us. Thanks to the work of Brother George Otis, P.M., we will have the Past Masters float from Detroit in the Rose Parade. Thank you Brother George.

The Brethren of Jackson Lodge 17 conducted the EA Degree and now we have another Brother. We hope to have a Fellowcraft Degree for him by the time you read this. The Master Mason degree will most likely be the night of our Strawberry Festival. Many of our lodges are presenting degrees and new Brothers are being welcomed into our fraternity. We seem to be growing and this is great news. While at Grand Lodge we were informed that the lodge in Schoolcraft will be conducting an all degree day on June 5th and will be raising over 30 men to be Michigan Masons. These men will be from several lodges from around the state.

We are collecting food items for the new food bank that will be opening at the school that is next to our building. Our lodge has donated money to help get the program started and that amount is being matched by the Grand Lodge of Michigan. Brothers you are making a difference in our community! You should be very proud.

Fraternally,

Michael E. Hicks

Special Note To The Brethren

Member's of all Jackson-Coolidge Masonic Bodies

We are in need of your email address for transmitting the electronic version of the Jackson/Coolidge MTA Trestleboard on a monthly basis. It is becoming more expensive to produce the Trestleboard due to rising postal rates and the cost to make the printed copies. (We usually print about 300 copies). If you would still like to receive it by mail that is fine too.
Just let us know your preference.
