1st Annual Doughnut Run a Success!
 We do like to celebrate with our clients! It was funny. In our weekly team meeting we started throwing out ideas on how to celebrate the upcoming silence we would be enjoying with our kids back in school! Then the idea popped in from someone on our team ... Doughnuts!
I immediately thought of the true magical powers of those words.Technically it is only one word, doughnuts. I just separate the word to make it sound more terrific. I'm not a big doughnut fan, but you mention that golden word around our kids and you get an immediate response. They love em!
This hypothesis proved true throughout the course of the operation. We had some op sec, (operational security) issues with our kids. The word leaked out about the "doughnut run" to some kids at Oak Valley Middle School. When leaving our 4S Ranch home Friday morning at 0430
hours to pick up about seventy dozen doughnuts at Krispy Kreme, I had to laugh. It reminded me of how often I used to drive downtown for early morning SWAT operations. I almost reached for a radio saying, "Doughnut one en-route to meet location".

All in all it was a great morning. Everyone seemed to enjoy the drive through service. We did find out our database was not complete. If you have referred a client or bought and sold with us and were not invited, please send us an email that says, "Where the heck are my doughnuts?" We apologize, if we missed you this year. Next year, we will have that corrected. I hope we can set a new record in 2012, with over a hundred dozen doughnuts delivered in our 2nd Annual Doughnut Run!

Last week we ran a story about a local resident's dog, Oreo, who suffered a snake bite near Oak Valley Middle School. We are so happy to announce that Oreo is 100% back to normal! His owner told us that Oreo is back to jumping on couches and begging for food. The family offers special thanks to Animal Urgent Care & Specialty Group, located in Escondido. "Animal Urgent Care was fantastic. They did every thing they can to save our dog" - Oreo's Owner. If you see a rattlesnake, please call San Diego County Animal Control at 858-694-3741.

Class of 2012 - 1st Annual Senior Breakfast and Parking Spot Painting at DNHS
 DNHS ASB presents the First Annual Senior Breakfast & Senior Parking Spot Painting this Saturday, September 3 beginning with breakfast at 10:30 and followed by painting until 3:00pm. The FREE Breakfast will be served to the seniors in the covered lunch area. Parking spot painting will be for the students who purchased a senior parking spot*, and who have received an approval on their space design (Due Tuesday, 8/30 to ASB Room, See Senior Class Officers in B-128 with questions). *Seniors who own a spot may begin parking 8/24* |

6th Grade Outdoor Education Program - OVMS
 This year, your son or daughter will have the opportunity to participate in the 6th Grade Outdoor Education Program at Camp Cuyamaca. Oak Valley Middle School students will be attending camp the week of October 3, 2011. The cost of the five-day program will be $330.00 which includes transportation to and from the outdoor school, food, lodging and medical insurance.
