Traffic Safety Alert: Improvements on the Way!
 Last week we highlighted an unsafe intersection in 4S Ranch. Anyone with children attending Oak Valley Middle School knows that the concentration of high traffic in the area around the middle school is both congested and dangerous. After two more near-miss collisions at Carmel Valley Road and Winecreek Road, we complained to the County of San Diego. To our pleasant surprise, Carl Hickman the Program Director of County Traffic Engineering met us at the intersection three days later to discuss our safety concerns. Mr. Hickman was forthright and professional. He agreed to promptly oversee several traffic safety improvements which include additional signage, trimming and removal of trees that block the vision of drivers as well as increasing the number of overhead traffic signals.
Our hats are off to Mr. Hickman and Carlos Michel of Public works and the County of San Diego. Thank you for responding quickly and correcting this hazardous situation! Just another reason why 4S Ranch is a great place to live!

 PUSD is planning to lease space for three cell towers to be installed on the light posts at the DNHS football field before the start of this school year.
