We would like to remind everyone to be more vigilant for crime in our community. Most people do not realize the highest number of residential burglaries occur during the daytime rather than at night. In this week's area crime recap you can see we had two burglaries in a single day. If you see suspicious activity do not hesitate to make a call to the Sheriffs Department or dial 911 if it is an emergency. Officers or Deputies rely on the community to help them identify criminal activity.

Swimmers Wanted!!!

Skill level is not important. Just a desire to get a work out on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 0600 to 0700 hours at our local and incredible Del Norte High School Outdoor Pool!!!

We are gathering an interest list and will be looking for an instructor to give swimmers pointers on this bi-weekly training session. Please contact our office or stop by the Commmunity Hub and leave your information. We already have about 5 people interested and once we get to about a dozen we can have a meeting and discuss the costs and the type of coaching we would like to have. All skills levels are welcome!

2. On January 25th, 1974 Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald's, prevented the Padres from moving to Washington, D.C., by purchasing the club from C. Arnholt Smith. He dies on January 14, 1984 and Mrs. Joan Kroc became as owner and chairwoman of the board.
