Valley Business Park
Plans progress as developers work to recruit businesses
The neighboring
counties of Audubon and Cass several years ago received a grant to complete a
feasibility Master Plan to examine a joint partnership in the funding,
location, and development of a multi-use business park, known as the Valley
Business Park. The park is located at the Interstate 80/U.S. Highway 71
interchange, approximately 65 miles east of the Omaha/Council Bluffs
Metropolitan area, 70 miles west of Des Moines and approximately 69 miles north
of the Missouri border. The relationship is organized as a
28E agreement, led by a steering committee with members from both
counties. Representatives are included from the following entities:
Audubon County, Cass County, Cass/Atlantic Development Corporation (CADCO), and
Audubon County Economic Development (ACED). The park has received
interest from several significant prospects during the last few months, and
marketing is ongoing. |
Iowa Open a Success
Event returns to Lake Panorama after 12 years
After a 12-year hiatus, the annual Iowa Open golf tournament returned to Lake Panorama National Golf Course this year, thanks to sponsor Brokers International. The Panora company provided $25,000, which made for the largest purse in the history of the Iowa Open. That attracted nearly 100 golfers from across the state who tried for the title August 20-22. Pictured is title winner Zack Vervaecke being presented a $7,000 check by
Roger McCarty, Founder and CEO of Brokers International. |
