Greetings! Have you ever thought about what makes something a "Law". Societies have laws that are instituted to make our the society run smoother. Traffic lights were a good idea, prohibition, not so much. There are laws of physics, "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction", that's a good one. There are laws of nature, gravity comes to mind. There is also the law of aerodynamics which allows us to get around the law of gravity. Birds got a handle on that one early but for man it took a while. God gave Moses a set of laws for humans to live by. The irony of this one is, if we had kept our communion with God we wouldn't need the written laws because they would be written on our hearts, but that's a whole other story. What got me thinking about this was I received a book I had ordered the other day by Dani Johnson titled "First Steps to Wealth". Dani was featured on the TV show "Secrete Millionaire". Some of what she talks about reminded me of a book I've had in my library for many years by Napoleon Hill titled "Laws of success". Contrary to what the titles of these books might indicate, they are not just about money. They are about the stuff of life. Some laws are immutable, meaning they are truth and not subject to change, like the quote from Paul above. I want to spend some time over the next few weeks discussing some of these laws that govern our lives. In order for this to be meaningful though I need your feedback. Below is a blog site where you can write your comments and ideas. I'm also going to post this on Facebook if that works for you. Your responses don't need to be lengthy treatises on the subject although they can be, I would just love to hear what you think on the subject of laws that govern our lives. Can't wait to hear from you. I love you guys, God Bless, Don Here is the blog site |
