Using local, seasonal flowers instead of conventional flowers saves the earth AND your budget.

Conventional flowers cost, on average, $2,000 and are usually shipped in from South America, covered in pesticides and artificial scents that make workers ill. Local, seasonal flowers cost only $200-$400 and allow you to support area businesses.

December Contest Winner
enaged coupleCongratulations to Alanna Garvey, who won our December contest! She and her fiance, Tyler, are planning a summer wedding in 2011. They met in the summer of 2005 at a youth camp in Southern Illinois called Camp Ondessonk. Over the summer, they spent lots of time together hiking, camping, and educating the campers about the outdoors. Their shared love for laughter and adventure made them a perfect fit. They see their wedding as their next great adventure, and can't wait for June 2011.

Best of luck, Alanna and Tyler--we can't wait to feature your Real Green Wedding story!
