Anxiety Attacks  Half Moon Backbend

During the beginning of my junior year of college I began experiencing severe anxiety attacks. They would come at random, so I was never prepared to deal with them. They are difficult to describe, but it felt like a 500 pound weight was placed on my chest, making it almost impossible to breath normally, and therefore concentrate on anything but the panic attack itself.

 

Breathing became a chore, and I lived in constant fear of being overtaken by panic. This began to affect my everyday life. I was afraid to sleep, in fear that my heart would begin to flutter or my breathing would become short. I was hoping they would disappear on their own, but they only worsened. Breathe LungsBreathing Always Normal - Challenger Parties!

February 10th
Do we like to party? Yes! South and Cedar Park will have "Pre-parties" to the Mid-term Party on February 10th. We will have raffles and, non-alcoholic beverages, and chips and queso (Chuy's)! These parties are open to all students, whether you are participating in the Challenge or not! It's a great chance to meet your home studio yogis and mingle without the sweat!
Another thing: Take $10 off any Mat or Towel purchase during the party!

MORE PARTY TIME! Join the rest of the crew on Saturday for yet another chance to celebrate with the PURE crew! While we have made the mid-term parties into more intimate socials this year, ALL students are welcome to attend ALL parties! Again, we will have a raffles with gifts from our sponsors!

Violet Crown Cinema 

Violet Crown Cinema is a locally owned and operated cinema with four screens devoted to independent, documentary and international films.

Violet Crown offers modern amenities including state-of-the-art digital sound and projection, comfortable seating, and stadium auditoriums with unobstructed sight lines.

 

The Bar and Cafe 

Violet Crown's Bar & Cafe offers a full cocktail bar, including an extensive beer list with several local draft beers, and a wine list containing several affordable fine wines.

The Bar & Cafe appetizer menu includes cheese plates, Mediterranean plates, french fries, pizzas, and hot dogs. The Bar & Cafe also serves hot and cold teas, soft drinks, espresso drinks and desserts.

We also offer happy hour specials from 4-7 Monday-Friday. We have $3 draft pints, $5 glasses of our house wine, and a $5 house margarita. 

Bar & Cafe open at 11:30 am every day. We suggest coming 30 minutes early to order food and enjoy something to drink.


Snack Bar

Violet Crown's Snack Bar offers traditional cinema concessions including fresh popped popcorn, candies, cookies, ice cream, ICEE's, as well as healthy options including fresh vegetable snacks. 


Food and beverage may be consumed anywhere in the cinema, including the upper and lower lounges, which feature dining tables and wait service, as well as in the auditoriums, where the seats include fold out table trays. The front row seats include cup holders and swivel tables that insert into the cup holder.

Patrons are encouraged to visit the Bar & Café and the Snack Bar to enjoy a drink or a snack whether seeing a movie or not.


4 Hour Validation

Violet Crown Cinema offers parking validation with purchase of a movie ticket. The parking garage is attached to the Cinema and is entered from San Antonio Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets. There is a maximum of 4 hours total validation. Regular posted rates apply after 4 hours.

In addition to self-parking, Free Valet Parking is available to Cinema patrons at the valet stand located near the entrance to the Cinema (in front of Malaga).

Please bring your parking ticket to our box office/guest services counter for validation.
