Job Opening: Survey Programmer

 

 

This position is available immediately in our Washington, DC office.

 

Anzalone Liszt Research is a nationally-recognized Democratic polling firm with offices in Washington, DC and Montgomery, Alabama. We are looking for an intelligent, hard-working professional with an interest in Democratic politics and a proven ability to program surveys in SPSS (or a similar statistics program).

 

Primary responsibilities include:

 

·         Program survey questionnaires, tables, and crosstabs in SPSS

·         Demographic weighting

·         Sample processing (e.g., stratification, cleaning, matching, etc.)

 

Preference given to candidates who possess a mix of the following:

 

·         Ability to run multivariate analysis (e.g. regression, cluster, factor)

·         Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related discipline

·         Experience working with data in political campaigns

·         Ability to multi-task (e.g., handle programming for multiple surveys simultaneously)

·         Willingness and ability to train staff in SPSS

·         Active in the Washington DC survey research community

·         The ability to laugh at oneself or tell a good joke
