National Polling Summary

Inspired by his great-grandmother, Jason Carter served two years in the Peace Corps, and keeping the family tradition of public service alive, Jimmy Carter's grandson also founded a nationwide community service organization. As an experienced attorney working to protect civil rights, voting rights, and at-risk children, Jason has received an award from the Anti-Defamation League. Jason is now working to take his passion for service to the Georgia State Senate to fight for more jobs, better schools, and to fix the broken transportation system. National Polling Summary

Welcome to the Anzalone Liszt Research National Polling Summary, a quick look at national public polls detailing key political environmental measures as well as attitudes of voters on the pressing issues of the week.

A new CBS/ NY Times poll tells us that while many Americans support immigration reform, they also believe that the controversial new Arizona legislation will have a negative impact on the state. Fifty-seven
percent of voters believe that immigration should be addressed at the federal level - not the state, while eighty-two percent of voters believe that the legislation might disproportionately target groups of certain
racial or ethnic backgrounds.

We have also seen a rise in the President's approval rating among independent voters on the issue of healthcare reform, with forty percent approving of the way Obama has approached the issue, up from thirty-one percent in February.
