National Polling Summary
Welcome to the Anzalone Liszt Research National Polling Summary, a quick look at national public polls detailing key political environmental measures as well as attitudes of voters on the pressing issues of the week.

You can see from the new Washington Post poll numbers what happens when Democrats take control of big issues like healthcare and energy, and take bold action while the Republicans play politics and obstruct.  Voters are now punishing Republicans and their branding continues to deteriorate with only 19% having confidence in them to make the right decisions for the country and only 20% of all voters identifying themselves as Republicans - a new low.  Voters are also much more inclined to vote for a Democrat (51%) for Congress than a Republican (39%) on a generic ballot test. This trend will continue as long as Democrats vocalize their support for the middleclass and back it up with action. We are no longer in the August recess.  Action is rewarded.  Inaction is not.

Enjoy,

John Anzalone and Jeff Liszt
