I am going to tell you more about the health care plan that President Obama
supports and please tell me whether you would favor or oppose it. The plan
requires that health insurance companies cover people with pre-existing medical
conditions. It also requires all but the smallest employers to provide health
coverage for their employees, or pay a percentage of their payroll to help fund
coverage for the uninsured. Families and individuals with lower - and
middle-incomes would receive tax credits to help them afford insurance
coverage. Some of the funding for this plan would come from raining taxes on
wealthier Americans. Do you favor or oppose this plan?

a proposed system called 'cap and trade.' The government would issue permits
limiting the amount of greenhouse gases companies can put out. Companies that
did not use all their permits could sell them to other companies. The idea is
that many companies would find ways to put out less greenhouse gases, because
that would be cheaper than buying permits. Would you support or oppose this
system? CNN/ ORC: A
proposal called 'cap and trade' would allow the federal government to limit the
emissions from industrial facilities such as power plants and factories that
some people believe cause global warming. Companies that exceed the limit could
avoid fines or higher taxes by paying money to other companies that produced
fewer emissions than allowed. Would you favor or oppose this proposal?

NBC/ WSJ: What
is your preference for the outcome of next year's congressional elections: a
Congress controlled by Republicans or a Congress controlled by Democrats? NPR: I
know it is a long way off, but thinking about the elections in 2010, if the
election for U.S. Congress were held today, would you be voting for the
Democratic candidate or the Republican candidate in your district where you
live? GWU: And,
still thinking about the 2010 elections, if the election for Congress were
being held today, and you had to make a choice, would you be voting for the
Republican candidate or the Democrat candidate, in your Congressional district?
