Rep. Bobby Bright (AL-02)
Rep. Bobby Bright

The son of a sharecropper, Bobby Bright grew up in the Wiregrass region of Alabama. Bright learned the value of hard work on his family's farm, and was the first member of his family to attend college.  As Mayor of Montgomery, Bobby Bright brought people together, worked hard to find common-sense solutions, and brought in new jobs to revitalize Alabama's capital city.  In his 2008 campaign for Congress, Bright continued to bridge partisan gaps and pledged to put Alabama first.  Bright now represents one of the country's most Republican districts, and is off to a fast start standing up for the working families in Alabama's 2nd District. Find out what Congressman Bright has been up to by clicking here.

National Polling Summary
Welcome to the Anzalone Liszt Research National Polling Summary, a quick look at national public polls detailing key political environmental measures as well as attitudes of voters on the pressing issues of the week.  We hope this summary will be helpful to you and your clients.

As Congress approaches the summer recess, they will have to prepare themselves to answer constituents' questions on health care reform. With the vote on health care now pushed back until they return to Washington D.C., there are many unanswered questions and a lot of work to be done. The notion that health care reform will decrease the average person's health care costs is not resonating with the 62% of Americans who feel that health care reform will increase their costs.  With a strong majority saying health care reform will increase costs, and majorities saying health care reform will decrease their freedom of choice in doctors and make the system more complicated, it becomes apparent that supporters of health care reform need to quickly reframe the debate.
