Prince William County, VA (May 24, 2011) - The Prince William County Park Authority's waterparks and community pools open for the 2011 season on Saturday, May 28! Pool passes, pavilion rentals and family discounts are available just in time to make your family's summer plans affordable and full of fun.
Community pools and waterparks will be operating on weekends only from May 28th to June 17th. The full week summer schedule will begin on June 17th and run to September 5th. Patrons are urged to check the website at www.pwcparks.org for specific days and hours of operation. Daily admission fees for community pools during peak hours remain affordable at no more than $4.25 for children ages 2 yrs to 17 yrs and adults at $3.75 to $4.50. Discounts are available for patrons 60 yrs and over during peak hours. Evening discounted rates of $1.50 to $2.75 are available after 4:00 p.m.
WaterWorks, at Andrew Leitch Park, has a daily admission is priced affordably at $7.00 for ages 2 yrs to Adult. This neighborhood water park is not your average everyday pool, but a family fun center filled with enjoyment for the whole family. Your family will enjoy the spacious beach pool entry, an enclosed speed slide, and open circular slide, challenging jungle walks, super geysers and fun bubblers. Waterworks has shade pavilions, a full service concessions area and a Snack Shack. (Waterworks Waterpark does not permit any outside food and or beverages to be brought into the waterpark. Daily admission fees range from $7.00 (over 48"), $5.50 (for under 48") with infants to 1yrs for free. Family Punch Passes (good for 20 visits) are available for $120. A 20 visit Family Bargain Pass is available for $70; however these passes can only be used after 4pm, Monday through Friday.
SplashDown Waterpark, at Ben Lomond Park in Manassas, VA, remains one of northern Virginia's hottest tourist attractions, offering 13 acres of wet and wild summertime fun suitable for the whole family.
