THE FIRST TEE PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY RECEIVES ACE AWARD |
The First Tee Prince William County has received recognition from The First Tee Home Office for successfully achieved Ace ZONE status for the 2010 calendar year. Ace Zone level achievement recognizes those Chapters that successfully complete 85-100% of the ZONE guidelines. The ZONE guideline categories focus on three key areas: Key Performance Requirements, Leadership and Financial, and Programs and Participant Involvement. Less than 28% of the nearly 200 The First Tee Chapters throughout the world attained Ace Zone recognition for 2010.
The First Tee Prince William County strives to impact the lives of young people by teaching The First Tee Nine Core Values that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Over ten thousand elementary students have participated in this educational program, through the Chapter's partnership with Prince William County Schools. U. S. Marine Corps Base Quantico and Ft. Belvoir also partner with The First Tee Prince William County, as military affiliates.

Prince William County Park Authority Prince William County Park Authority, founded in 1977 by the Board of County Supervisors, provides the residents and visitors with first quality recreation programs, parks and facilities. The Park Authority is an autonomous organization governed by an eight-member board appointed by the Board of County Supervisors and funded by a tax transfer and revenue producing facilities.
