SPRING IS IN THE AIR
We are getting closer and closer to the start of our summer PACE Races. Two Fathers Day races, the RUN FOR THE RIBBON in Michigan, and the FATHERS DAY 5K in Pennsylvania are underway and expecting over 2,000 participants each. 2010 is going to be a huge year for growth and new opportunities!
I am excited to announce a new PACE Race event, SET THE PACE for prostate cancer, will be hosted on September 5th in Denver, Colorado. The race will kick off the September Prostate Cancer Month by honoring the prostate cancer patients and survivors, as well as the families and friends who support them on a daily basis. We will be working along The Urology Center of Colorado Foundation, who is hosting a Blue Shoe Prostate Cancer run/walk at the end of September closing it. These two races will increase the focus on prostate cancer awareness and serve as a pilot project for new and updated race formats.
Additionally, I will be working with each PACE Race event around the country to find new ways to reach out to the local community and enhance our focus on survivors and their support networks. Start brainstorming new ideas and a wish list for your race!

The PACE Race Facebook is growing and we need your support! If your race does not already have a Facebook page, I encourage you to create one.
