2010 in Full Effect!
The PACE Race Series got of to a wonderful start with the 2nd Annual RUNDenver Series! The series consisted of five 5K races throughout Denver, and each race had a significant increase in participation. We also had the pleasure of Bart Yasso's company at the RUNDenver Super Bowl 5K and Benji Durden's company at the RUNDenver's That Dam Run 5K. Thank you for BKB Ltd and Assurant Health Insurance for your support! In addition to the RUNDenver Series, the PACE Race Series partnered with the Music and Beaches Melbourne Marathon on February 6th and 7th. Joined by Bill Rodgers, the race had over 2,000+ runners and 19 of out of the top 20 hand cyclists....great success!
As I have mentioned in previous newsletters, we are starting a new outlook on our races...patient advocacy and team support. We want to learn more about our participants who have been and who currently are affected by prostate cancer, we want to honor their strength, bravery, determination and life. We want to focus on the friends and family that support, stood by their sides, of the patients, survivors and the ones we have lost to prostate cancer. They are who we do this for, yes, the cause, but more importantly, for those who have walked in the steps of prostate cancer.
I will be talking with each of you in how we can reach out to the patients, survivors, families, and friends. Also, if a hospital is associated with the race, I would like to set up a meeting to discuss ideas on how to make this possible.
Please contact us with any questions and visit our website at www.prostateconditions.org.

We are currently in the process of switching our website host and designer. The 2010 PACE Race website should be live within the next two weeks. I will send out a email when it is live. I also encourage you to tell us your feedback on the look, feel and navigating throughout the site.
PACE Race and Prostate Conditions Education Council is also on Facebook! We encourage you to create a facebook page for your PACE Race. This is a great way to connect to participants and encourage team efforts and fundraising.
Lastly, we are creating a monthly newsletters for participants, patients, supporters, etc... The newsletter will provide PACE Race updates on a local and national level, race information, healthy lifestyle tips and prostate cancer information. More details to come!
